Portico Content Manager
Vanessa Brazil is thrilled to bring together her experiences and enthusiasm to help amplify the Inflexion narrative as Portico’s new Content Manager. As an English, Journalism, and Yearbook teacher, she has dedicated the last 7 years to guiding high school students in Central California and Southern Oregon to discover and strengthen their own voice as well as more deeply understand and appreciate the diverse voices of others. In her roles as academic support teacher, clubs and class advisor, and within Instructional Leadership Teams, she advocated for student equity, inclusion, and empowerment. Throughout her teaching tenure, Vanessa has been recognized for her passion for learning and education, and for her innovative and creative approaches to teaching, learning, and design; she is adept at integrating digital technology into the classroom in meaningful ways and adapting curriculum to ensure relevance for 21st century learners. For a decade prior to teaching, she trained and managed a highly successful regional support team for a global mobile communications company during the industry’s early stages of rapid change and growth. She earned her BA in English from California State University Stanislaus.
